Virtual Lab Project::
Availabiliy of resources limit learning by doing experiments in many educational institutions. Web-based and video-based courses address the access to good quality teachers. Virtual labs are intended to address the need for access to good lab facilities. They also provide a new methodology to convey and learn concepts using the power of visualisation of ideas and computations. Virtual labs rely on an active engagement of the learner in the knowledge acquisition process. This project is aimed at promoting this new methodology and providing a glimpse into the exciting world of experimentation to a student/teacher unlimited by their physical location.
Structural Dynamics Virtual Labs:
We have developed a WEB BASED software tool named Virtual Structural Dynamics Learning Lab. For convenience in explaining the concepts, we divided this tool into seven modules. Each module contains few experiments with good G.U.I. In these experiments, user can find the explanation with graphical diagram.
Physical Sciences Virtual Labs:
This is a web-based innovative tool aimed towards a better understanding of experimental methods in physical sciences. Here in the virtual lab we have combined the feel of the actual experiment with a clearer idea of the concepts behind the experiment
Center for IT in Education:
Centre for IT in Education is responsible for coordinating and executing the project from IIIT-H .
